Transportation accidents of all types require that the fire service be able to disentangle people, product, and other equipment from damaged, compromised and destroyed cars, trucks, trains, boats, planes and any other transportation. Advances in new metals and construction continue to pose new and increasingly difficult challenges for the fire service in responding to these events.
