Mobile Data and Computers :

It is becoming more and more common for most fire service units to be supplied with an on board computer. These computers are linked to the dispatch center and provide vital data to the firefighters and command officers at the scene of emergency. Mobile data terminal systems generally have a variety of  symbols which the firefighters use to identify different benchmarks in the dispatch arrival and deployment of fire apparatus. These mobile data terminals supply a wide variety of information to the command centers for the tracking and mobilization of fire service resources.
