Sirens and Alarms :

All fire apparatus that responds to any emergency is required to have audible sirens. These sirens notify its members of emergencies and to notify its members of evacuations.

The fire service has a wide variety of alarm systems which are used in buildings to notify the fire service when an emergency is occurring at that location. These alarms can be affixed to the building or they may appear as a fire box standing alone.
