Wildland firefighting equipment includes specialized clothing and specialized tools such as rakes shovels and Pulaski tools. Also specialized weather measuring equipment designed to measure barometric pressure, fuel moisture and wind direction. Wildland firefighters also use aircrafts such as helicopters and fixed wing planes to drop fire retardant products onto fires. Firefighters also carry unique radios capable of operating long periods of time and in extremely hazardous conditions.
